Happy Father's Day MC!!!!
I have loved you for many reasons over the years since first laying eyes on you on the third floor of the Union, but seeing how you have made your role as a father so important is one of my favorites. Thank you for being such a strong presence in the lives of Jessica and Ryan (and mine too of course, but today is about your role as a father to them).
The care that you take in creating and carving out time to be with us at every dinner and on every weekend, even if it means a crazier work schedule for you, does not go unnoticed. You simply being there around the breakfast table and dinner table, as well as all the other times that you are there makes a huge difference in our lives for the better. Watching you taking part in all of details of the kids' days is such a joy: there were the diapers in the early years, the never-ending toenails that need to be clipped, setting up the sprinklers or the kids to play in, staying up on what the kids favorite songs are and introducing them to new ones, teaching Jessica to ride a bicycle, sharing your love of electronic and iPhone games with them (including Guitar Hero, which seems their favorite), taking Jessica to school in the morning, always being willing to look something up to answer the kids' questions and curiosities, sharing your love of sports with them (and your Meet the Yankees series, which I LOVE!), being willing to go that extra mile to make the kids laugh during a tough situation, being a t-ball coach for Ryan's team, eating vegetables that you don't want to eat so you can be a good role model for the kids, and so many more... You make our hearts so happy.
I am so grateful you are the father of Jessica and Ryan.
I am so grateful you have chosen to spend your life with me.
Happy Father's Day, Michael!
