I just spent a bunch of time making myself a nourishing lunch (thyme and tarragon herbed mushrooms with polenta & taleggio. Ottolenghi, you are amazing. This recipe was from Plenty, though I reduced things a bit in the cheese department).
I'm working to bring all of the deliciousness and that feeling of expansion from Squam into re-entry of my everyday. Life is so very good.
Flora's class was everything I hoped it would be, I made new friends, and feel rejuvenated from my time by the sea and in that space.
This afternoon? I paint and savor a rare 80-degree day in late October. Thank you, universe, for the gift of today.
Wishing my mom & Burt a safe and joy-filled trip. I saved her last voicemail to me so I can replay it whenever I want to hear her voice over the next 11 days when I won't be able to call her. I'll miss you, Mom!!
